      I have noticed in the gym and on internet chat rooms that many women disrespect hard-training athletes like most men.  I'd love to blame all of you for being sexist and disrespectful, but sadly I think if we women don't get the respect we want from our male gym counterparts, that's a big part of our  fault.  So many women have fallen victim to the state of mind that we don't have to train hard to be 'toned'.  Or maybe most think that there are certain exercises that are MAN exercises.  and there are some which are "" exercises for girls "".  


    Let's let something come out here - when it comes to changing our bodies, men and women are the same.  We can enlarge or reduce our fat, and we can enlarge or reduce our muscles - that's about it.  Men have the ability to do this on a much larger scale because of the hormonal differences.  Women, if you think you're going to train your heavy, hard arms and wake up someday and have biceps like Arnold, you aren't.

      The "toned" look we all desire is the result of increased muscle mass and decreased body fat.  Our muscles usually have to get BIGGER to get this look.  In this article, I'm going to share some of my views on how to achieve that athletic, yet "feminine" figure so many of us dream of.


      First of all, what do we look at and what do we see as a society ”,“ Feminine?  »» 36-24-36?  Maybe not exactly those numbers, but this type of body shape still holds true for the most part.  Now, how do you make that look athletic without harming the female form?  Everyone is different of course, but picking certain body parts to highlight over others can really help here.  For example, it seems acceptable for a woman to have very round and well rounded deltoids, but if the biceps and forearms as well as the traps are too developed, they are considered "manly".  those to be minimized can go very far.  Here are my three key principles for looking strong, athletic and yes, like a woman!


 1. For those who have a small waistline, it could be very simple.  Maybe you just need to train the deltoids first in your schedule.  For those of us who are not 24 inches or less, this may take some effort.  I think the deltoids MUST be trained very hard first and frequently to get the desired look.  The width of the back also plays a big part in making the waist smaller than it really is, so it's a close second.  Keep in mind that this part is exactly the same as what a bodybuilder would try to do, so you shouldn't get caught thinking that he has to do “girl” exercises or feel like you don't.  can't do weight.  .  heavy.  I have personally been as high as 55lb dumbbells for hanging presses and side presses trying to grow my deltas.  I also don't understand why most women don't try to do wide-grip pull-ups other than that they're hard.  Do not be afraid of difficult and heavy exercises for the deltoids and the back.

  2. Pump that ass!  How many women have said in one breath, "I don't want my butt to get bigger, but I don't like the way it sags."  "" As a woman, I can tell you that they mean they don't want their rear "" to grow "", and "" bigger "" means "" bigger "" in their mind.  .  So many women have given in to the idea that this is just a genetic trait that cannot be changed.  Well guess what?  Glutes are like biceps - you know that if you want awesome arms you need to gradually practice certain exercises and force the muscles to grow.  Girls, it's the same with us.  We're not going to get those round, cheerful glutes by doing leg kickbacks and butt compressions!  We need to do exercises that allow us to progress in weight and repetitions.  If you've been doing zero-gravity walking lunges in the past year and you're still not happy with how things look from behind, you need more stimulation.  Add weight to the exercise and get progress!  You want the glutes to get bigger while losing fat.  Have you ever seen a girl with a really tight ass and think it's still too big?  Probably not.

  3. Control your body fat!  Certainly, a woman who has 20% body fat without muscle looks smaller and better in her clothes than a woman with the same amount of fat and a lot more muscle.  To have that athletic look, most of us fall in the 12-15% range.  I'll cover my fat loss methods in detail in future articles, but in a nutshell, I'll tell you to eat your protein and veg.  I believe you are what you eat, and someone who eats 2000 calories of mostly protein, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates will be very different from someone who eats 2000 calories of carbohydrates and fat.  Shit.  I don't think it's about the numbers, but about the quality of the food.  Cardio is also a key part of reducing and controlling body fat.  This is where people differ the most that I have found.  Some women can get by with 20 to 30 minutes 3 to 4 times a week.  I often have to do 6-7 days a week and usually 45-60 minutes each time.  I trained girls who had to double their work 7 days a week to achieve 12% body fat.  So go with what works for you and your body type.


      Hope you are reading this, you are ready to hit the gym and hit hard.  Keep in mind that heavy is a relative term, if 5lb dumbbells are all you can really do, push them hard and you will get stronger.  In the process, you will gain the respect of those around you who do the same.  This is not where you are now, this is where you are going!  And I hope the guys reading this article show some etiquette to these women who might not be as strong as you, but push to get better Instant
