   Have you started swimming as a sport to help you lose weight?  If you are, you are not alone as most people think swimming is an effective way to tone muscles and lose weight.  That's why public pools everywhere are always crowded in the evenings and on weekends.

    Swimming exercise leads to weight loss.  Different experts have different opinions about it. Some believe that weight is being lost, others are of the opinion that there is no weight loss.  In my opinion, it reduces weight. I swim regularly for the health of my heart.

    It depends on itself how much exercise your body is capable of, it should be exercised accordingly.  I believe 30 to 40 minutes is a lot. You can train with a good trainer who exercises to do. If you go swimming for 30 to 40 minutes daily, you will definitely lose weight.


    However, some research seems to suggest that swimming is not an effective way to lose weight and that in fact, one can even gain weight while swimming.  Getting more confusing eh?


    Swimming is considered by many to be one of the best exercises or sports for losing weight and toning muscles because when you swim most of your muscles are called into action and you are doing a full body workout.  In addition, swimming also has an aerobic effect and therefore the heart and lungs also get their dose of exercise.


    However, research published in the American Journal of Sports Medicine has shown that without a controlled diet, swimming has little or no effect on weight loss.


    Professor Grant Gwinup conducted an experiment correlating swimming with weight loss and had surprising results.


    a) Subjects tested in a cycling program lost 19 pounds in 90 days of study.


    b) Those who follow a walking program have lost 17 pounds during the same period.


    c) Now get ready!  The subjects in the swim program actually gained an additional 5 pounds!


    Did the results shock you?  I couldn't believe what I was reading the first time I discovered the report.


    Professor Gwinup then assumes that swimming in cold water stimulates appetite to increase calorie consumption.  Are you hungry after a swim session?  If you do, then the professor might be right.


    Professor Louise Burke, head of nutrition at the Australian Institute of Sport, pointed out that competitive swimmers generally have higher body fat levels than runners or cyclists who expend a similar amount of energy when  train.


    Why is this so?  This is because swimmers are hungry after swimming and can simply replace all the calories they have burned with a big meal and a high-sugar drink after swimming.




    On top of that, they can even consume more calories than they consumed.

    Professor Burke also noted that competitive swimmers are less active when not participating in training sessions.  Swimmers are so tired after hours of hard training that they sleep, relax, or avoid active physical activity outside of their workouts.  Already seen?  Do you feel tired and drowsy after swimming?


    Now let's talk about toning muscles.  Note that most of the work done by your body while swimming involves positive muscle actions and no negative actions and we all know that the negative phase, that is, when reducing weight during bodybuilding, is very important.  in building muscles.
